Recently, towns all over have been popping up with dispensaries displaying products like CBD and edibles. If you’re like me you’re wondering what the heck is CBD and what are these shops contributing to our communities? There is a stigma around them that I was not ready to believe in, so I decided to head over to Hemporium at 4139 S. National Avenue and find out for myself.

I spoke to Holli, a professional at Hemporium, who used to teach for twelve years. Holly made the switch because she is passionate about the healing power cannabis has and wanted to mix her profession in with her passion to inform and introduce others to the benefits as well. This aspect is something that makes Hemporium different from all the other dispensaries out there; they are committed to educating their community about all things cannabis related. They offer free consultations to ensure every question you have is answered and that you get the proper product for your needs and your budget. Classes and table talks are also offered at Hemporium on a weekly basis. To find out more about any of those, you can check out their facebook, pop into the shop, or visit their website at https://417hemp.com/

After speaking with Holli, I can say that the stigma couldn’t be more wrong. She went into depth about all of the different parts of cannabis and that the psycho active aspect of it is referred to as THC. Majority of the products they offer in their shop does not contain this component and it is very easy to get the treatment you need without getting high. Their boutique is filled with all different sorts of products from edibles, cartridges, oils, pills, and topical lotions. There is truly something there for anyone to benefit from, even your furry friends! That’s right, they offer products for your pets too! Whether you have a frosted face with arthritis, or an animal with anxiety or an attitude, they’ve got you covered.

If you are at all interested in learning about the benefits of cannabis I definitely recommend seeing for yourself and going into the shop. All of the professionals that work there are highly educated on all their products and can match you with exactly what you need to be the best version of yourself, whether you need something for pain, anxiety, migraines, they’ve got it all. Many of their products are Gluten Free, Vegan, and 100% organic and are open Mon-Sat: 10am-7ish  and Sun: 11am-5pm.
